Yesterday marked the start of Responsible Business Week, the annual initiative run by Business in the Community to increase awareness of the positive contribution of business in society. To mark Responsible Business Week, BITC are also today announcing the businesses that have made it on to the shortlist for their Responsible Business Awards.
Currently in its 19th year, the Responsible Business Awards are open to businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to multi-nationals, and across all sectors.
The purpose of the Responsible Business Awards is to celebrate inspiring examples of businesses that are making a significant difference by taking action to improve their local communities, create more inclusive working environments and tackle environmental challenges.
Categories cover a wide range of positive business activities, from investing in the health & wellbeing of employees and nurturing young people to develop skills, to supporting rural communities and more disadvantaged members of society.
